YOGA BURRA forms part of The Breathing Clinic & Wellness Centre and is a beautiful timber studio, fully equipped with an extensive range of yoga equipment including yoga mats, blankets, bolsters, straps, blocks, yoga chairs, eye pillows, and so much more!

There is ample parking on-site, simply enter the studio via the entrance at the rear of the property.

Please arrive 10 – 15 minutes prior to your first class to fill in a registration form and settle in before the class begins.

Please arrive to subsequent classes 5 – 10 minutes prior to the class commencing to avoid disrupting the class once it starts.

Tina Taylor

Tina is the Founder and Principal Yoga Teacher at YOGA BURRA.  Tina teaches a diverse range of yoga classes including Stretch & Relax, Restorative Yoga, Yogalates, Vinyasa Yoga, Yogalates HIIT, and more.

Tina’s formal Yoga Teaching Training originated in Classical Yoga, which honours the meditative essence of Yoga, and has broadened to include Radiant Light Yoga, a flowing Vinyasa-style of Yoga and specialised training in Yoga hybrid styles such as Yoga-inspired High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).   Tina is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Australia – the peak representative body for Yoga in Australia.

Tina is the Founder of The Breathing Clinic & Wellness Centre where she offers services in  Orofacial Myology, Breathing Retraining and Good Gut Health, and is also a Chapter Leader for the Weston A. Price Foundation in the Cairns/Atherton Tablelands area.

Cath McKenna

Cath has worked as a (solicitor and) yoga teacher and has a Certificate 4 in Fitness. She is several subjects off completing an Exercise and Sports Science degree she began after being motivated to work with women aged 40+ who have put children/work/aged parents before their own health.  Cath has four children and knows the struggle of managing work, children and squeezing in exercise to maintain physical and mental health.

Cath is also a registered teacher and teaches mindfulness and yoga 1.5 days per week to primary school children.  Cath has a penchant for Yoga HIIT – a combination of yoga-inspired high intensity interval training (HIIT), yoga stretches and weight-bearing moves for a great all-round workout!

Alana Kilpatrick

Combining ancient wisdom with modern science is something that has always interested Alana and she is compelled to spread and share true wisdom when she hears it.  Through her yoga teachings she has done just this, after returning from India where she first gained knowledge to teach Yoga, she journeyed to Byron Bay when pregnant with her daughter to become a fully certified Pre/Postnatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT).

Since then Alana has continued on her journey loving working with women during this special time in their lives – she has found an impactful way to further help expectant couples have a positive empowered birth experience by teaching the ‘Positive Birth Program’ by Hypnobirthing Australia.  An amazing workshop which is inclusive of birth partners and teaches a powerful toolkit of techniques to sustain a calm mindset during pregnancy, labour and beyond.  We tend to never regret decisions we make when we are informed and prepared.

Alana is also certified in Kids Yoga and irest Yoga Nidra meditation techniques.

Han Wee Tan

Han has been teaching Yoga and Mindfulness in Cairns with a single, sincere wish to share the benefits of practice with others.  His approach to the practice is light-hearted and Han is known for his capacity to deliver complex concepts in an accessible manner.  For him, the practices are a way of thinking and living rather than just a band-aid for life.  This is what Han’s clients have to say about Han:
